Fiberglass Door
Representing a breakthrough in the industry of large-format doors!
Up to 11' fiberglass pivot door in Walnut woodgrain is ready for the market.
The MASTERGRAIN™ Fiberglass Pivot Door, stands as a testament to innovation and complete elegance in entry door system design. This pivot door features a molded fiberglass door panel in a Walnut woodgrain with a pillowed feature and a completely custom integrated illuminated handle. The transom extends the panel design for a seamless and contemporary look. The door’s sidelite provides light and visibility to the interior of the home. Both the transom and sidelite are available with solid panel or glass options.
The uniqueness of this pivot door is that the hinges are mounted on the top and bottom of the door panel instead of the side to rotate the panel on the vertical axis. The movement of the door is visually different from a regular hinged door. The operation gives it a unique aesthetic value and contemporary look and feel.
MASTERGRAIN partnered with leading San Francisco based design and innovation firm Fuseproject to develop the first iteration of the pivot door system. Together the two companies will continue to refine and advance a complete offering to expand the category of energy-efficient, large-format fiberglass door systems.
Why Large-Format Doors?
After years of homes being built with 8-foot ceilings, the overall housing trend has moved toward more voluminous interiors in the 10-to-12-foot variety. In warmer climates, taller ceilings can make the home more energy-efficient as it is easier to cool. Taller ceilings also add resale value and provide versatility for a variety of décor ideas like beams for a rustic look or sprawling spaces which provide a more contemporary aesthetic. This design trend in the home’s ceiling requires a complimentary entry door which is typically taller and wider (larger format).
MASTERGRAIN is leading innovation in the category for larger format fiberglass entry door systems driven by the architectural design trend for higher ceilings, with equally impressive aesthetics and a more practical door system with the inherent benefits of fiberglass.
The transom, as an extension of the panel, adds a layer of ingenuity to the design. Beyond being a mere architectural element, it serves a dual purpose. It introduces an additional light source and extends the height of the door, making a bold and impactful exterior design statement.
A distinctive aspect of the MASTERGRAIN Fiberglass Pivot Door system is its seamless integration into existing structures. Using a standard door sill reduces the need for several modifications to the rough stud opening. This unique characteristic makes it an ideal choice for the renovation market, where adaptability and ease of installation are paramount.
The handle is integrated directly into the door panel. It is designed with ergonomics and cutting-edge technology in mind which showcases a thoughtful approach to modern living. A built-in light is incorporated within the handle, adding a touch of practicality and sophistication. This feature not only elevates the overall user experience but also serves a functional purpose, assisting homeowners in entering their homes with ease, especially in low-light conditions

Why Fiberglass?
Fiberglass doors are highly durable and resistant to warping, cracking, splitting and rotting. They are energy-efficient and typically have excellent insulation properties to reduce heat loss and improve overall efficiency of the home. Fiberglass doors require minimal maintenance compared to wood or steel doors. They do not require regular painting or staining like wood doors, and they do not rust or corrode like steel doors.
